Dr Moraig Peden is a skilled environmental educator from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has taught many student teachers and has been involved in the Happy Earth Schools Festival in KZN. She loves wild flowers, little critters, bird sounds, clean rivers and growing food. She loves getting kids and grownups busy and active- investigating, observing, discussing, and making things.
She is very suited to the older kids group
Roxy has a natural ability to entertain and to contain children. While doing her post- graduate studies at UCT in psychology this year, she also tutors, au pairs and is doing her internship. She has worked at a party agency as the entertainment leader, and is an invalueable asset to the
Green Kids team.
Seth’s commitment to encouraging inclusiveness in the small groups, is a very desirable skill he brings to the Green Kids programme. His open-mindedness, story-telling capacities, and empathic skills, captivate the children.
Claire is an optimistic and energetic student, who is doing her environmental science honours at UCT. She loves being in nature, trail running, hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing. Her curiosity, calm nature and education interest makes her a perfect fit with the variety of childrens’ personalities who attend our Green Kids’ programmes.
Sive has come into Green Kids as a entertainer and dancer whom the kids have taken to instantly. He has experience working with kids and performing on stage. His commitment, connection and creativity brings a unique energy into the programme.
Emma’s connection with the Green Kids shows her natural gifts as a teacher. As a UCT biology honours student, she has a keen interest for conservation and enjoys cycling and swimming. Her energy and leadership combines well with her creative streak which is so well expressed in crafts with the kids.
